SUSTAINABLE COMMUTING

Commuter Benefits.png

The transportation sector generates the largest share of greenhouse gas emissions in the Untied States and passenger vehicles are the largest contributor of that sector.

At Missoula In Motion, we believe that expanding transportation options is key to changing that. Shifting behaviors from automatically hopping in our cars to instead considering walking, biking, riding the bus, carpooling, vanpooling or telecommuting is key to reducing our dependence on fossil fuels, improving our air quality, boosting individual physical activity, and creating more vibrant communities.

We also believe it's all about doing what you can and when you can and when one person is able to choose to travel using a sustainable mode, it benefits us all. Those choosing to bike, walk, ride the bus, carpool, vanpool, and telecommute are making things easier for those that need to drive by being one less car on the road. They are decreasing traffic, freeing up parking spaces, keeping our air clean and making drivers overall travel experience smoother and less congested.
