FUNDING and PARTNERS
Missoula In Motion is funded primarily through Federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program (CMAQ) funds. These funds are allocated to Missoula In Motion by the Montana Department of Transportation who receives them from the federal government. The funds are designated for programs and activities that will help communities attain the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) set forth in 1990. CMAQ requires Missoula In Motion to secure local match funding which they receive from various local partners.
Missoula In Motion implements Transportation Options programming through the support of several key partners: Mountain Line, Missoula Parking Commission, Missoula County, City of Missoula, and ASUM Transportation. Missoula In Motion collaborates with these partners and many community organizations.
Missoula In Motion undergoes periodic internal review to ensure programs and services are not only meeting the needs of Missoulians, but are deploying Transportation Options effectively. Missoula In Motion releases an annual report and presents to the Missoula City Council, partners and stakeholders regularly.
