How do I log my commutes?
From the missoulainmotion.com home page, login to your account by typing your username and password (if they don’t automatically appear).
- Your username and password haven’t changed from the former system; generally, your email address is your username. If you need assistance with your password you can click on the “Forgot Password?” link or call our office.
- To report your commutes, simply click on the button in the "to work" section that corresponds to the date and type of commute (if you hover over the picture it will tell you what the icon represents) and the system will fill-in your "from work"; if you went home a different way, you can manually select that mode.
- Once you have recorded trips for all the days you worked, click "Next" and you should see a screen where you can review your entries and see your weekly statistics. If that all looks good, then click on the "Submit" button. If you see that you missed a day, click on the "back" button.
- If you didn't work on a particular day, then you don't need to do anything for that day as the system will record "n/a" for that day.
Remember, that once you have submitted, you can't go back and make changes to those dates!
How do I update my contact information?
You need to be logged in to your account to make updates to your profile (so do that first). Now that you're logged in and on the missoulainmotion.com home page, you have 2 options. 1) scroll down to the bottom of the website and click on the link "Edit Profile"; or 2) look below the box where you logged in/reported your trips and you should see the heading "Quick Links"; click on the "WTG!C Member Profile" link.
- On the right side of the screen should be a "box" with tabs that read "Contact Info", "Profile", "Commute Stats", "Milestones", and "Prizes"; click on the "Contact Info" tab.
- Once there, you can update the following by clicking on the words "Edit/View" next to each heading:
- Address Information: Please check to see we have your current mailing address. To add an additional address to your profile, select "Add"; to delete an address, select "X" next to that address. Don't forget to click "Save" to save your changes. You can have multiple addresses and designate which one should be your primary contact.
- Phone Information: Please provide a phone number so that we can reach you when you win our monthly drawing! To add an additional phone number to your profile, select "Add"; to delete a phone number, select "X" next to that number. Don't forget to click "Save" to save your changes.
- Email Information: Please verify that we have your most current email address. To add an additional email address to your profile, select "Add"; to delete an email, select "X" next to that email. Don't forget to click "Save" to save your changes. You can have multiple emails and designate which one we should send messages to.
How do I update my commute mileage?
From the missoulainmotion.com home page, look below the box where you logged in/reported your trips and you should see the heading "Quick Links"; click on the "WTG!C Member Profile" link.
- On the right side of the screen should be a "box" with tabs that read "Contact Info", "Profile", "Commute Stats", etc.; click on the "Profile" tab.
- You will see a box that says "Choose Set"; select "Member Info" from the drop-down menu
- Once there, you can update the following:
- Commute Mileage: the distance from your home to work if you were to drive in an automobile
- Commute Type: your primary type but you can always report any of the modes
- Newsletter: how you would like to receive the quarterly newsletter (please consider receiving it electronically to keep cost and impact to a minimum)
- Reminder: how frequently you would like to receive email message reminding you to report your trips
- Employer: who you work for; if you are a student and not working at all, you can leave this blank
- Hear about us: let us know how you found about Missoula In Motion and the Way to Go! Club
How often should I log my commute days?
In order to be eligible for the monthly raffles, you must log your commute days at least once a month and before the drawing date (generally the 10th of the month). Many people find reporting their trips weekly as soon as they receive their reminder message to be simple and efficient - they only have to remember the last 5 days. Others who have a very consistent commute schedule, prefer to report their trips monthly. The choice is yours.
Even if you aren't interested in winning the prize, please take the time to enter your commute information each month so Missoula In Motion can show the impact that Way to Go! Club members are making to relieve traffic congestion, reduce pollution, and generally improve the quality of life for everyone in Missoula.
If I forget to log my commute days for an extended periof of time, can I "catch up" and record them all at once?
Our system will allow you to report your last 30 days of commuting activity. It will only show you the "eligible" days and not any for which you have previously recorded trips. For example, if the last trip you reported was on September 2, and you login on September 15, the first eligible day you will see would be September 3 and the last eligible day would be September 15. If it's been a busy month and you don't get around to recording your trips until October 10, you would see only the last 30 days as eligible for recording trips.
When do the monthly raffle drawings take place?
The monthly raffle drawings occur around the 10th of each month. You need to have logged your trips prior to this date to be entered into the drawing. For example, on October 10th we would randomly select a winner out of the names of people who have taken eligible trips in September. These trips may have been reported in September or October (prior to the drawing) but they were taken in September.

Do I need to be employed to join the Way to Go Club?
To join the club you need to be employed, serve as a volunteer on a regular basis, or be enrolled as a student at The University of Montana.
Can I report trips to the store, recreation areas, etc.?
At this time, only the work commute is eligible for reporting.
