2012 Commuter Challenge

The Commuter Challenge is a business-to-business competition sponsored by Missoula In Motion. It is aimed at raising awareness and rewarding commuters who choose sustainable transportation for their work commute during Bike Walk Bus Week (BWBW). The 2012 Commuter Challenge will run from Sunday, April 29, through Saturday, May 5th. It is a way to try a new commute, get back to old habits or be rewarded for your everyday sustainable commute ritual.

It is the perfect time of year to give Missoula’s many sustainable transportation options a try and we’re glad you are part of it.

How Does the Commuter Challenge Work?

Sign On - Any workplace can sign up to participate as a group, whether you are an office, company, division, department, non-profit organization or knitting circle. Businesses registered by March 19th will have their name appear in the BWBW event booklet.

Choose Sustainable Transportation - During BWBW, commute to work by any means other than alone in a car. Biking, walking, busing, car/vanpooling, and telecommuting all count.

Log Your Commutes - Report your trips at any time during your work week, using your WtG!C login (preferred) or the paper logging form. See complete logging instructions and options below.

Rally The Troops - Get your coworkers involved! The workplace with the highest percentage of participation wins.

Collect prizes - There are three ways to win and a variety of prizes, from trophies to gear to ice cream cones.

Who Wins?

There are three levels of winning. There is a level for everyone - or earn all three!
