Transportation Best Practices Awards

Missoula In Motion’s Transportation Best Practices Awards are given to businesses and organizations that have gone the extra mile in making a solid commitment to sustainable transportation programs. Held annually, the Awards are MIM's way of recognizing the efforts of the community, and they provide an opportunity for community members to compare notes and learn from each other about how to improve their own transportation programs.  Best Practices Awards winners receive up to $1000 to help make their transportation programs even better and are featured in various media outlets commending them for their efforts.

2011 Awards Ceremony

The Awards will be presented at a luncheon on Thursday, December 15, 2011, in The Governor's Room at the Florence Hotel.  The award luncheon will include the presentation Community Transportation:  Spheres of Influcence featuring our keynote speaker, Paul Zykofsky (Local Government Commission). Mr. Zykofsky will present some of the many opportunities for Missoula businesses to elevate their transportation programs and policies to the next sphere of involvement. With his knowledge of smart growth and land-use/transportation planning, he will help draw a clear line from internal programs to the larger community infrastructure and policy decisions that affect our community.
